Challenge 5025

Last year, I turned 50 and set myself a challenging goal to cycle 5,025 miles by the end of 2025. This ambitious target reflects my age and a desire to push my limits.  Interestingly, this distance is comparable to the approximate 4,500 miles between London and Palestine, meaning I'll effectively be cycling the equivalent of that journey, at least in mileage terms.

Despite facing a significant setback in June 2024 (a hit-and-run accident while cycling) I managed to cycle an impressive 3800 miles last year.  2025 has already presented its own hurdles, from a cracked bike frame, sciatica and a particularly wet start to the year. This has put me behind schedule, but I'm determined to catch up in the coming months and persevere, just as the people of Palestine persevere in the face of immense adversity.

I believe that even in the face of personal challenges, we have a responsibility to support those in need. That's why this year I'm dedicating my cycling challenge to raising funds for humanitarian relief in Palestine.

The funds raised through this campaign will be used to provide critical support to those in need, including:

⚠ Food Packs: Supplying nutritious and essential food for families in need.

⚠ Emergency Kits: Providing basic items necessary for survival during the crisis.

⚠ Blankets and Medical Aid: Offering warmth and medical support to address urgent health concerns.
